Cranium Sacrum

From the skull
to the sacrum

Craniosacral therapy is a gentle, hands-on method. Its name joins cranium (skull) and sacrum (the base of the spine). Between them, wrapped in protective membranes, lies the central nervous system with the cerebrospinal fluid.

At its heart is the fine, rhythmic pulse of this fluid, which can be felt with the hands. The method assumes that this rhythm points to tension in the body and relies on the body’s ability to regulate itself. I support this process with a light touch, without pressure and at your pace.

1874Andrew Taylor Still founds osteopathy, the root of the method.
1930sWilliam Sutherland describes the rhythm of the cerebrospinal fluid.
1970sJohn E. Upledger develops craniosacral therapy as practised today.

Craniosacral therapy is a complementary method and does not replace medical diagnosis or treatment.

Claudia Angeli, registered nurse and craniosacral therapist in Bülach

Hello, I am Claudia Angeli

Since I started out as a nurse, I have been fascinated by medicine, anatomy and physiology, and above all by how body, mind and soul work together.

I see my years in nursing as a valuable school of life. Even then I wanted to care for my patients more closely and more individually.

“With craniosacral therapy I can give you the attention you deserve.”

I want conventional and complementary medicine to work hand in hand, and I work closely with a number of doctors. My inspiration was Dr John E. Upledger, who early on showed parents how to work gently with their own children.
